GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING – August 14, 2012

Meeting opened at 7:45pm at the HVFD

  • Treasures report given 
General Discussion/Business:
  • Football Season will not be beginning Sept. 1st – it will begin Sept 7th/8th with possibility of game Wednesday night Sept. 5th.
  • Weigh-in’s August 21st at 6:45pm at PPMS – arrive by 6:15
  • Players have 3 chances to make weight by 09/13/12 for season – after 08/21 player must contact CCPR for appointment to be weighed.
  • Club numbers are up by about 45 children and still increasing
  • 11/03 opening round Calvert Classic
  • 11/10 Championship games
  • 12/01/12 Bi-County Bowl – still up in the air because of weight/age variances
  • Hallowing Point Park is available for practices on Tues and Thurs field 3 contact Randy if interested
  • Ref Clinic 08/26 6-8pm at HPP
  • Scrimmages – changes in weight 8u-10u weights are equal 11u-12u over by 10-15lbs
  • Name plates for jersey’s order late should be in by 09/03, 09/04
  • Homecoming – we are hoping for 10/27 but are waiting on schedules.
  • Pep Rally – set for 10/05 at HPP
  • CCPR has new digital scale for weigh-in – 1 coach at door, 1 coach in back with Erik – no parents are allowed in the weighing area.
  • Gridiron – about 86 kids turned out – it was a very good/fun camp
  • There were 7 outstanding silent auction items – people had not paid and/or pickup.
  • Emails went out to outstanding balance people
  • Raffle tickets – voted on and approved to lower grand prize and gift cards there will be 1 ipad and $1000 in gift cards instead of $1500
  • Discuss on Golf Tournament – Twin Shields not avail for Mon or Fri – will look into alternate location
  • Lacrosse – proposal for intent submitted
  • Lacrosse – artwork and uniforms discussed  - will be reversible jersey, will promote during football games, flyers will be put in schools waiting on approval
  • Lacrosse clinics on Sunday’s at CMS – more for younger ages
  • Lacrosse coach applications and interviews to take place in November
  • Next Meeting Tuesday Sept 11th
